The COLDFLEX® compression wraps are perfect for treating sprains, strains, tendon injuries, bucked shins, hematoma's, arthritis, stocking up, core temperature control* and various other veterinary / equine problems. The COLDFLEX wraps are also used before strenuous exercise to keep swelling out and to tighten the tendons and muscles. Race horses have used COLDFLEX 10-15 minutes prior to the race and have increased their overall wins. COLDFLEX is the product that can make all the difference in preventing and treating injuries as well as increasing performance.

COLDFLEX® Compression Wraps are made of stretchable polyurethane foam that is saturated with 96% water based gel that cools at room temperature. (It may also be refrigerated for a deeper cooling action.) The gel-imbedded wrap evaporates water to simultaneously provide moist, penetrating, cooling action and compression. The cooling effect lasts for hours and there is no danger of tissue damage from excessive cold as with the application of ice.

Unlike other self-cooling products on the market, COLDFLEX® is the only one that is 96% water based , making it 100% irritation free and safe, even on abraded skin. Other "self-cooling" products are alcohol based, which can cause surface blood vessels to dilate and actually increase the swelling. Alcohol based products also work via rapid evaporation, cooling only the top surface tissues, but having little effect on the deeper layers of muscle. COLDFLEX® however, removes heat by evaporation, pulling heat from deep within the muscle tissues, while the compression helps reduce and prevent edema. And because COLDFLEX® is water based, the wrap requires only cool water to regenerate, making it VERY cost-effective.

*COLDFLEX® is also a highly effective at core temperature control and as a total body rejuvenation system, reducing the overall body temperature by cooling the blood that runs through the surface vessels in the lower legs. Because COLDFLEX ® does not require refrigeration, it is a must have item on all trail rides and camping expeditions!

COLDFLEX® PADS AND BLANKETS

The non sterile blanket and pad can be used at least 25x if properly cared for. It is always cold, ready to quickly cool-down and rejuvenate an animal by decreasing both body temperature and heart rate.

This is an especially valuable tool to have on hand for high performance animals, to help them recover and help reduce injuries that may have occurred during an athletic competition or event. The Blankets are a superior item to effectively treat heat exhaustion in both animals and people.

Q: What is COLDFLEX?

A: An exclusive formulation of gelled water imbedded into an elastic, flexible foam material that delivers cooling compression to the affected area.

 

Q: How does COLDFLEX work?

A: Once the COLDFLEX is exposed to the air, the gel-based water evaporates from the COLDFLEX and extracts the heat from within the muscle tissue, providing continuous, long-lasting cooling action. Instead of cooling the muscle tissue from the outside-in as ice packs do(Cooling the skin first and eventually working through the deeper layers of tissue, with the possibility of frost-bite), COLDFLEX removes the heat from the body's muscle tissue from the inside-out.

 

Q: Why is COLDFLEX superior?

A: Because it conforms to the shape of the body, completely surrounds and penetrates the entire affected area , adheres to itself, and provides a deep cooling action without the possibility of frostbite or freezer burn.

 

Q: Does COLDFLEX need to be pre-cooled?

A: No. COLDFLEX will begin cooling the affected area straight from the jar. For faster, deeper cooling penetration, COLDFLEX can be refrigerated.
